Meet your Concord Camp Counselors!

We are excited to introduce our WONDERFUL Summer Camp Team for 2014 at Vetta Sports – Concord led by Camp Director Maria Feltz.

This is just a nibble of the talent that we have at each location to make your child’s summer a memorable experience.

Take a moment and read the counselor biographies, many of them were campers just like your kiddo’s are now. 🙂

Sidney A. aka Sid

Coach Sidney has worked Summer Camp at our Concord location since 2012. She attended Eurkea High School.

In Sidney’s spare time she enjoys playing and watching soccer.

Sidney’s favorite part of Camp at Vetta Sports is working with the kids. When asked why she enjoys working with the campers she answers, I enjoy teaching them new things.

SIDNEY Fun Fact: I PLAYED MY FIRST SOCCER GAME WHEN I WAS TWO YEARS OLD!

mary beth a. – aka mer

Coach Mary Beth starting working at Vetta Sports – Concord back in 2012, in addition to Summer Camp she also coaches within our Kickaroos and Instructional Soccer Programs at Vetta.

Mary Beth is an Art Teacher. In her spare time she enjoys running and watching tv – her favorite show is the Office. She has one pet, a dog named Indy.

Mary Beth Fun Fact: I love running!

Dominic C. – aka Dom

Coach Dominic started working for Vetta Sports Concord back in 2009. He attended Affton High School and Culver-Stockton College.

Dominic grew up at our Concord facility playing in the ISL program during grade school and high school. He still plays soccer at Concord to this day.

Dominic enjoys playing soccer and working out. His favorite sport to watch is hockey. He believes one of his greatest talents is that he is a very patient person.

Dominic’s favorite part of camp at Vetta is meeting the new staff members and being able to bring joy to the campers. When asked why he enjoys working with kiddo’s he responds…. Because I love being able to teach them about the different sports we play and seeing them develop as the year goes on.

Dominic NOT SO Fun Fact: I broke my back on October 5th, 2013.

Daniel r. aka Dan

Coach Daniel has been a part of our Summer Camp team at Concord since 2013.

Daniel graduated from CBC High School and attended University of Kansas.

In his youth he enjoyed playing in youth soccer leagues at Vetta Sports. In his spare time he enjoys playing guitar, watching moviies, playing sports, exercizing and traveling. His favorite travel destination so far is Alaska.

When asked his favorite part of Summer Camp at Vetta Sports…Daniel answered, it would have to be the variety of activities.

Daniel Fun Fact: I am ambidextrous.

Matthew f. aka Matt

Coach Matthew has worked at Vetta Sports Concord since 2007.

Matthew is currently a student at Mizzou. He started playing at Vetta Sports- Concord Youth Soccer Leagues when he was just a kid himself back in 2004.

When asked his favorite part of Summer Camp at Vetta Sports, Matthew answered… Getting to know all of the co-workers and becoming great friends.

Matthew Fun Fact: I am learning Mandarin Chinese.

Wondwosen H. aka Wonde

Coach Wondwosen has worked at Vetta Sports Concord since 2011. Wondwosen attended College.

He has been playing sports at Concord since 2005. In Wonde’s spare time he enjoys watching soccer and hockey. Wondwosen’s favorite part of Summer Camp at Vetta Sports is playing flag football with the kids.

When asked why he enjoys working with kiddo’s he simply responds… because it’s fun!

Wondwosen Fun Fact: I’m outgoing.

Jarrid H.

Coach Jarrid is a new hire to our Summer Camp program at Concord.

Jarrid’s background includes Northwest High School.

In Jarrid’s spare time he enjoys playing sports and playing FIFA with friends. He believes his greatest talent is soccer. His favorite sport to watch is the NCAA Tourament.

When asked why he enjoys working with kiddo’s he responds…they are funny and fun to be around.

Jarrid Fun Fact: I like to Sing.

Kylee H. aka Ky

Coach Kylee has worked at Vetta Sports Concord since 2010.

Kylee went to Northwest High School and is currently attending Hannibal LaGrange University. She has two cats named Belle and Oliver. Kylee enjoys traveling…her future travel plans include a trip to Paris someday. 🙂

Kylee Fun Fact: I love cows.

Steven H. aka Country Brownie

Coach Country Brownie has worked at Vetta Sports Concord since 2013.

Steve was home schooled and attends Meramec.

In Steven’s spare time he plays piano and drums. His favorite sport to watch is hockey. He also has one pet – a dog named Phineas.

When asked why he enjoys working with kiddo’s he responds…. I love working with children.

Steven Fun Fact: I love poetry.

Nathan K. aka Nate Dog

Coach Nathan has worked at Vetta Sports Concord since 2011. Nathan has been playing sports at Concord since 2005.

In Nathan’s spare time he plays baseball and goes swimming. He also plays the piano.

When asked what Nathan’s favorite part of Summer Camp is at Vetta Sports he responds… All of it. Summer Camp is my favorite part of the year.

Nathan Fun Fact: I can do a handstand.

Jocelynn K aka JOCIE

Coach Jocelynn has worked at Vetta Sports Concord since 2011. Jocelynn recently graduated from Lutheran South High School this May and will be attending Westminister this Fall.

Jocelynn has grown up at Vetta – she was only 7 years old when she started playing at Concord.

In Jocelynn’s spare time she enjoys watching basketball and traveling. Her favorite travel destination by far has been Greece. When asked why she enjoys working with kiddo’s she responds…I love getting to know all the kids and my co-workers!

Jocelynn Fun Fact: I’ve lived in four states.

Rachel M. aka The hulk

Coach Rachel has worked at Vetta Sports Concord since 2010. Rachel attended Lindbergh High School.

In Rachel’s spare time she enjoys being outside and playing all types of sports. She also enjoys traveling, her favorite destination so far has been Mexico.

Rachel’s favorite part of Summer Camp at Vetta is field trip days, she says it’s always a new adventure!

When asked why she enjoys working with the campers she responds, They are always keeping me on my toes and I learn something from them everyday.

Rachel Fun Fact: I play golf in college.

haley m.

Coach Haley has worked at Vetta Sports Concord since 2012. Haley attended Pius X High School in Festus and is currently studying Nursing and Spanish at Mizzou.

In Haley’s spare time she enjoys traveling – her favorite trip so far has been Cozumel, her next trip this winter will be Costa Rica!

Haley’s favorite part of Summer Camp at Vetta Sports is not only getting to see the familiar faces from the previous years but also getting ot meet the new people excited for camp!

When asked why she enjoys working with kiddo’s she responds….It never actually feels like work. Being around children and watching them grow and have fun is one of my favorite parts about this job.

Haley Fun Fact: I do everything left handed except when I color…I use my right hand.

Katlyn M. aka Kat

Coach Kat has worked at Vetta Sports Concord since 2011. Katlyn is currently studying to be a nurse at Maryville University.

In Katlyn’s spare time she enjoys dancing. Her favorite sport to watch is football and she has a dog and a beared dragon. She also plays the piano.

Kat Fun Fact: I was taught dance by two Rockettes.

Ryan M. aka RYNO

Coach Ryno has worked at Vetta Sports Concord since 2008. Ryan has an Associates Degree in Graphic Design from Meramec STLCC.

In Ryan’s spare time he enjoys photography and listening to music. He also enjoys traveling and hopes to visit Hawaii. His favorite sports to watch are hockey and soccer.

When asked why he enjoys working with kiddo’s he responds…They make everyday enjoyable!

Ryan Fun Fact: I eat Pizza everyday.

Jeff R. aka Flounder

Coach Flounder has worked at Vetta Sports Concord since 2010. Jeff started playing at Vetta Sports – Concord Youth Soccer Leagues when he was just a kid himself back in 2003 at the age of 8. Since he has played soccer every year, he has only missed TWO summer camps!

In Jeff’s spare time he loves traveling and exploring new places. He recently returned from a three week study aboard trip in Italy.

Jeff says his favorite part of Summer Camp at Vetta Sports is hanging out with the kids. They always have some new, funny story to tell me everyday. It is also great to see them group up as I work each summer.

Jeff Fun Fact: I have never broken a bone.

Kelsey T. aka mary poppins

Coach Mary Poppins has worked at Vetta Sports Concord since 2008. Kelsey graduated from Bishop DuBourg High School, then attended St. Louis University. She is currently enrolled at St. Louis Community College.

Kelsey started playing at Vetta Sports – Concord Coed Instructional Soccer leagues in High School with her brother. (They loved having Nick Tibbs as a Coach!)

In Kelsey’s spare time she loves to country line dance. She films every Wednesday Night at Wild Country in Collinsville to air every Sunday night on Channel 30. She started line dancing a year ago and has made some wonderful friends. When asked her favorite childhood memories they include… Going to the hanger with my Grandpa to look at old war planes. I even got to fly in the B-25! Kelsey s favorite part of Summer Camp at Vetta Sports is ALL OF IT!!! I look forward to camp all year round and love having all the little guys. It is crazy seeing my first Group 1 kids graduating from Group 6 this year!

When asked why she enjoys working with kiddo’s she responds…. I enjoy working with kids because they have the same attention span I do sometimes. It is also fun getting to be a role model that they will look up to for years to come.

Kelsey Fun Fact: I cannot sit through a movie to save my life. I either fall asleep or have too much energy! 🙂

Joe t. aka Tibbs

Coach Tibbs has worked at Vetta Sports Concord since 2010. Joe is currently attending college. He started playing at Vetta Sports- Concord Youth Soccer Leagues when he was just a kid himself back in 2004.

In Joe’s spare time he enjoys playing soccer (see above.) His favorite sports to watch are hockey and soccer.

When asked his favorite part of Summer Camp at Vetta Sports, Joe answers… I like playing the game Toga. When asked why he enjoys working with kiddo s he responds… because they can make me laugh even when I m in a bad mood.

Joe Fun Fact: I used to do gymnastics.

Victoria w aka tori

Coach Tori has worked at Vetta Sports Concord since 2010. Tori graduated from Missouri State University in May of 2013. She is currently working on getting her MBA through Missouri State as well.

We love that Tori attended Vetta Summer Camp as a child herself from ages 5-12, her words… I loved every second of it and I couldn’t imagine a better place to work. Everyone loves to be like a child again.

In Tori’s spare time she enjoys cooking and baking and if she has free time she loves to be outside doing anything. She plays volleyball and soccer regularly throughout the year. She also loves to watch baseball – GO CARDS!!! 🙂

Tori says her favorite part of Summer Camp at Vetta is getting to know her girls… I have 10-12 year old girls and I love getting to know each and every one of them. They are all really smart and I end up learning a lot from each of them throughout the summer.

Tori Fun Fact: I am an avid biker.
