Meet Our Personal Trainers

DAVID BOVIER-DIRECTOR OF PERSONAL TRAINING

My name is David Bovier, AFAA Certified Personal Trainer and Registered Sports Nutrition Expert.  I am a fitness enthusiast and I enjoy living a healthy lifestyle. But that hasn’t always been the case. At one point,  I weighed a whopping 281 pounds! I was miserable and knew I had to get control of my body and my life. The only solution that made sense to me was a complete change of lifestyle.

I researched my options, realizing I wasn’t going to be able to do this by myself. Through word of mouth, I found a Nutritionist and a Personal Trainer who were ready to help me reach my goals.  I agreed to do exactly what they told me. Let’s be honest, if I knew how to exercise and eat properly I wouldn’t have been in that condition.

Over the course of the next few weeks I began to lose weight, and I felt terrific!   Careful attention to my diet, and regular cardio and weight lifting sessions at the gym were paying off.  I reached my goal weight in just under a year, losing roughly 100 pounds! The combined effort of diet, cardio, weights, and my team were the keys to my success.

What I came to realize through the process is that it takes more than just diet, exercise, and wanting to lose weight. It takes everything you have. A complete change of your mind happens at the same time you completely change your body. It has to.

Experiencing a dramatic weight loss and enjoying the results made me wonder, "If I can do this, how can I help others feel the same sense of accomplishment and success?" The answer was obvious. I became a Personal Trainer. My mission is to help others know how good life can be. My passion is seeing other people become healthier, happier versions of themselves. It doesn’t happen overnight, but it’s worth the journey.

I am now also registered as a Sports Nutrition Expert in the same programming that helped me lose my weight.  I can help you achieve similar results whether it be fat loss or muscle gain.  I can help you achieve your goals.

jaime maher

Hi!  My name is Jaime Maher and I am one of Vetta’s Personal Trainers! By day, I am a Special Education Teacher and Certified Counselor but have always had a passion for wellness and fitness which led me to become a Certified Personal Trainer.  I played soccer my entire life and was fortunate to earn a scholarship and play at the University of Missouri-St Louis.  Through hard work and dedication, I continued to push even harder and ran my first marathon in 2005.  I continued to set goals and follow my passion for running by completing numerous 5K’s, 10K’s, and 9 half marathons.  I am a strong believer in setting personal goals and doing what it takes to meet them.

What I didn’t realize then, was that by adding weight training to my cardio workouts and eating a cleaner diet, I could achieve even greater results.  My goals have surpassed what I would have thought possible and I attribute that to my time spent at Vetta with the team and family that support me here.

I believe that health and fitness are not just fads but a lifestyle that takes hard work and dedication.  I genuinely believe Vetta is the best place where you can reach your personal goals and make lifestyle changes.  Welcome to our Vetta family!

Toni cramer

My name is Toni Cramer; I am 46 yrs old, mother of 2 grown children and a grandmother to the sweetest little grandson Roman. I have been spinning since 2003 and have been an instructor since 2010.  I began to attend spin class after reaching mid-life and finding I weighed over 200 pounds on my small 5 foot tall frame.  I made the decision that I needed to be in better shape to keep up with everyday activities in life and to lose more then 70 pounds to be heart healthy.  When I started this journey of losing weight and exercise, I never  thought that I would be the one teaching spin, but here I am, a spin instructor and a personal trainer, helping others that are or have been in the same boat I was years ago and I have been loving every minute of it!  I love the challenge of taking music and making it into a motivational ride.  Are you ready to take that ride with me?   Come try one of our Cycle Classes!

In addition to cycling, I am a group and personal trainer.  I love working with people on the fitness floor.  We all know what it takes to be heart healthy, it’s plain and simple,,, MOVE,,, Keeping it fun is important, but dedication is the key.   You have to lift, you have to do cardio and you have to lift some more and… hmmm did I miss anything, oh that is right, MOVE.

If you need help on your walk on this journey, Contact one of our Vetta Personal Team members and let's just do one day at a time.   Come and be a part of things here at Vetta, we would love to have you on our team!

BOB LILLY

My name is Bob Lilly and I am Vetta's Group Fitness Director and an AFAA certified Personal Trainer. Perhaps the most important thing to know about me is that I am a Vetta success story. I was able to lose 30 pounds, increase my strength and endurance, and shed body fat using a combination of Vetta’s group fitness classes and personal training sessions. I became a Group Fitness instructor and now a Personal Trainer because I strongly believe in what Vetta has to offer. While Vetta is now a second home to me, I realize that most people need to make the most out of the hour that they spend in the gym. I have been a single parent, I run my own business, I ref CYC soccer and I give some time to charity, so I know what it is like to have a busy schedule. Don’t let the busy schedule hold you back; together we can develop a fitness program that works for you.
