Meet Our Summer Camp Coaches – New Faces
Now that you’ve met our staff at our Concord (South County), Manchester (West County), Soccerdome (Webster Groves), and St. Charles locations, we would like to introduce you to the newest members of our team.
Coach Abigail (St. Charles)
We are excited to welcome Abigail to the Vetta St. Charles team this summer. Her favorite soccer memories include having fun with her friends and teammates on and off the field. In her spare time she enjoys helping and serving others. Abigail is inspired by her Mom. The best advice ever given to Abigail- Always try to stay positive and make the best of every situation.
When asked why she would like to work with children she says, I love working with kids and getting to laugh and have fun with them!
Coach Austin (Soccerdome)
Coach Austin is starting this summer at Vetta Sports Soccerdome and we are excited to welcome him to our team. Austin first started playing soccer in kindergarten and his best soccer memories include his first indoor soccer goal in a Vetta league. Austin loves to learn, especially new things about places, people, games, etc. He feels it is important that people enjoy developing their minds.
When asked why he would like to work with children he says, There is so much joy to be had working with children. It s always been fun to learn from them as well as being able to share in their development.
Coach Brendan (Soccerdome)
Coach Brendan is new to Vetta Sports Soccerdome this year however has did participate in our Kickaroos program many moons ago! Brendan is excited to join camp this summer. In his spare time he enjoys reading, playing with friends and listening to music.
When asked why he would like to work with children he says, I have just as much fun as the kids do.
Coach Cecelia (St. Charles)
Coach Cecelia, aka Cece, is new to being a counselor at Vetta Sports St. Charles but not new to the facility. Cecelia participated in Summer Camp and leagues as a child at Vetta. Cecelia started playing soccer at the age of 3 and hasn’t stopped. Her favorite soccer memory includes traveling to Minnesota for the Schwan’s USA cup and getting to play with girls from other countries as guest players on her team. In her spare time she enjoys being outside and going to the Lake.
When asked why she would like to work with children she says, I started working with children because I love seeing them enjoy the sport as much as I do and getting excited over learning new skills.
Coach Cole (Manchester)
We are excited to welcome Coach Cole to Vetta Sports Manchester! Cole has been playing soccer since the 2nd grade. His favorite soccer memory includes pushing his coach in the pool! One of the craziest things Cole has ever done was walking 20 miles in one day. Cole loves to swim and is inspired by his Aunt.
Best advice Cole has ever been given – Be true to who you are.
Coach Corey (Soccerdome)
Welcome Coach Corey! We re excited to have him join the Vetta Soccerdome team! Corey started with Vetta Sports in 2018 and currently plays in our indoor leagues at Vetta. He started coaching because he says, “I am really passionate about soccer and I’ve always wanted to work with children.” Corey started playing at the age of 5 and his favorite sports memory includes winning a high school state championship. His favorite soccer player is “Andres Iniesta because of his selflessness.”
In Corey’s spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, hanging out with friends and being outside. He is inspired by his dad and is passionate about soccer, music and biology. If Corey could go travel anywhere in the world, he would go to England.
Best advice Corey has ever been given – Do what makes you happy.
Coach Emma (St. Charles)
Welcome Coach Emma! We re excited to have her join the Vetta St. Charles team! Emma started playing soccer at the age of 8 and her favorite soccer memory includes scoring her first goal with her club team. Her favorite soccer player is Alex Morgan because she’s very humble about how good she is. Emma s favorite concert was Luke Bryan. Emma is excited about summer camp and meeting all of the campers. When asked who inspires her she answered, My Grandma.
Best advice Emma has ever been given – Do what makes you happy.
Coach Emma (Manchester)
Emma started at Vetta Sports Manchester this summer however she has been playing indoor at Vetta since grade school. In Emma s spare time she enjoys art, running, and spending time with friends. She is inspired by her parents and her cross country coach. Her favorite sports memory includes, traveling to Joplin with my cross country team and then running my fastest race.
When asked why she would like to work with children she says, I want to make kids smile and feel like they belong.
Coach Hanna
Hanna is new to the Vetta Sports Manchester team (but not new to Vetta) and we re excited to have her with us this summer! Hanna started playing soccer in pre-school and has played at Vetta Sports in our Kickaroos and ISL programs. Hanna’s favorite soccer memory includes when she took a break and unexpectedly came back to play in high school. Hanna loves to travel, her favorite place in the world is Kythria, Greece and someday hopes to visit Milan. Hanna is inspired by her Yia Yia Joanne.
Best Advice Hanna has been given – dream, wish, do.
Coach Ian (Soccerdome)
Coach Ian, aka Sugar is new to Vetta Sports Soccerdome this year and we are happy to have him onboard. Ian used to be a camper at our Concord location as a child and his favorite part of summer camp the field trips! Ian s favorite sports memory was when Blues player T.J. Oshie scored 4 shootout goals in the 2014 Sochi Olympics. Ian is inspired by his parents and has a very special talent- I can cook minute rice in 58 seconds.
Best advice Ian has ever been given – You have to make mistakes until you get it right.
Coach Jack F. (Soccerdome)
Coach Jack, aka Freddy, is a new counselor to our Soccerdome location and we are happy to have him join the team. Jack is not new to Vetta Sports though, he was a camper at Vetta Soccerdome every year from the age of 4 until 12. Vetta was favorite camp and highlight of his summers. When asked his favorite soccer memory he says, my freshman year at CBC when we played against MICDS and we beat them 11-0!! The crowd was going absolutely crazy. Something others may not know about Jack is that he is bilingual and speaks fluent spanish.
Best advice Jack has ever been given – Trust God s plan. No matter what happens, even if it s not what you want, you just have to trust that everything happens for a reason and that God has a plan for you.
Coach Jack S. (Soccerdome)
Coach Jack is a welcome addition to our Soccerdome location. Jack started playing soccer 12 years ago and his favorite sports memory includes pitching a No-Hitter baseball game. Jack enjoys science and astronomy. He looks forward to working with our campers because he loves teaching and working with others.
Best advice Jack has ever been given – Do what you can’t.
Coach Jacob
Coach Jacob, aka Jake is another welcome addition to our Soccerdome team. One of his favorite soccer memories includes winning state in soccer. Jake is excited about getting to know all the campers and counselors this summer. Jake started coaching soccer because he loves the game and wants to share it with the next generation
Best advice Jake has ever been given- Every time you quit someone else will take your prize.
Coach Jenna (St. Charles)
Coach Jenna is starting this summer at Vetta Sports St. Charles and we are excited to welcome her! Her favorite soccer memory is going to the final four state championships for women’s soccer in high school. In her spare time she enjoys reading, hangout with friends and family, working out, and playing with her dog. She is passionate about becoming a nurse and being able to help families who have children in the NICU. She started working with children because she really enjoys babysitting and being in the child care environment.
Being able to share her love for sports with them is a bonus!
Coach Josie (St. Charles)
Welcome Coach Josie to Vetta Sports St. Charles, we are excited to have her join the summer camp team! Josie has played indoor at Vetta with her club team and indoor coed. Her favorite soccer memories are traveling with her team.
She enjoys spend time with family, friends, and traveling, and is passionate about her future. If Josie could visit anywhere in the world, it would be Italy. Her favorite family tradition is an annual summer family vacation. The best concert she has ever attended is Dierks Bentley.
She is attending school to become an elementary education teacher.
Coach Justin (St. Charles)
We are excited to have Coach Justin join the Vetta Sports St. Charles team this summer! Justin started playing soccer at the age of 4. His favorite sports memory includes winning districts this year. His favorite soccer player is Sergio Ramos, I love defense and he is a great center back who is a leader. Justin is passionate school and soccer and is inspired by his mother. Best advice Justin has ever been given – To never give up on your dreams.
Coach Kiera (Soccerdome)
We are thrilled to welcome Kiera to Vetta Sports Soccerdome this summer. Kiera has been playing indoor at Vetta with her club teams at both Concord and Soccerdome for years.
Kiera started coaching because she says, “I love working with kids because I know they look up to people that are older and I hope to be a role model for them.” Kiera’s favorite part of summer camp is “I think my favorite part will be getting to have a good time with the kids with different activities and to learn different life and everyday skills through summer camp.”
Kiera’s favorite soccer memory includes beating Oakville High School her freshman year in penalty kicks in districts for the first time since 1999!
Her favorite soccer player is “Carli Lloyd because she is such a smart and talented midfield player.” In Kiera’s spare time, she enjoys shopping, being outdoors and playing soccer.
Best advice Kiera has ever been given – Don’t ever rush time enjoy being young! I feel like time is going by so fast and now I don’t want to grow up.
Coach Mackenzie (Soccerdome)
Coach Mackenzie is a new counselor to Vetta Sports Soccerdome this summer. Mackenzie has attended summer camp and played soccer at Vetta in the past. Mackenzie started playing at the age 4 and her favorite sports memory includes, “going to see the women’s team in St. Louis and getting some of the players to sign my Vetta shirt.”
Her favorite soccer player is “David de Gea because I think he s a brilliant goalie and I have so much respect for goalies.”
In Mackenzie’s spare time, she enjoys listening to music and going to concerts. Mackenzie is inspired by her mom because she is incredibly hardworking and Mackenzie is passionate about education and music.
If Mackenzie could go anywhere in the world to travel, she would go to I would go to Italy and her absolute favorite place in the world is Dublin, Ireland. Best advice Mackenzie has ever been given – Always try new things because you may never get the chance to do it again.
Coach Megan (St. Charles)
We are thrilled to welcome Coach Megan to Vetta Sports St. Charles! Megan’s favorite sports memory I challenged myself to try track my sophomore year of high school. I felt so accomplished after each meet and it was a great feeling!
In her spare time she enjoys reading, going on walks and hanging out with friends. Megan is passionate about helping children reach their full potential and being a part of their development. The craziest thing Megan’s ever done was going ziplining in the mountains of South Africa and her favorite place in the world is Bath, England.
The best concert she ever attended was Twenty one pilots.
When asked why she coaches children, Megan says: “I love being around children. We have such a big impact on them and it s wonderful seeing them grow and being a part of that.”
Coach Mia (St. Charles)
We are thrilled to welcome Coach Mia to Vetta Sports St. Charles! Mia started playing at Vetta when she was just 8 years old! Her favorite sports memory is winning her school’s home cross country meet back to back years.
In her spare time she enjoys training for, and running, half marathons and other fun runs in her free time. She is inspired by Shalane Flanagan and Emma Coburn and is passionate about cooking and baking delicious, healthy foods. The best meal Mia has ever had was Grilled salmon with rice and green beans.
Her favorite place in the world is the mountains and if she could visit anywhere it would be London, England. Children are so full of positive energy and life and there is much to learn from them.
The best concert she ever attended was Luke Bryan.
Best advice Mia has ever been given – You can’t control specific situations or conditions during the game or race, but you can control your attitude and make the best out of what you have.
Coach Morgan (St. Charles)
Please take a moment and welcome Coach Morgan to Vetta Sports St. Charles! Morgan has been playing soccer since she was 4 years old and playing at Vetta Sports since she was 8! Her favorite soccer memory was when her club team won nationals in 2015. Morgan is passionate about soccer, family, and the church. In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, playing sports, reading and shopping.
When asked why she would like to work with children she says, I have always been passionate about teaching children and I want them to love soccer as much as I do.
Coach Rachel (St. Charles)
We are excited to welcome Coach Rachel to our team at Vetta Sports St. Charles. Rachel started playing soccer when she was only 4 years old and plays in our coed leagues. Her favorite soccer memory includes scoring three goals with my head in one game. When asked why she started coaching she says, I started coaching because I love kids. No matter what kids can always put a smile on my face because they are so goofy.
Best advice Rachel has ever given- Just be yourself and you ll figure everything else out along the way.
Coach Samantha (St. Charles)
We are excited to welcome Samantha, aka Sammi, to Vetta Sports St. Charles this summer. Sammi started with Vetta Sports in 2018, however she’s not new to the facility.
Sammi started coaching because she says, “I love working with children. I started at Vetta when I was 5 and have always enjoyed being there and when I became old enough to become a CIT, I really enjoyed working with the kids and knew I wanted to become a coach and work with the kids even more.”
Sammi’s favorite part of summer camp is “Getting to know the kids at camp and play games with them.”
In Sammi’s spare time, she enjoys playing games with her family and friends and hanging out with them, she also enjoys spending time with her dog Miko. Sammi’s inspired by her cousin Madeline because of her determination to do things and basically all of her family members.
She is passionate about becoming a teacher and spending time with her family.
Best advice Sammi has ever given – Hard work and determination will get you far in life.
Coach Sean (St. Charles)
We are excited to welcome Coach Sean to Vetta St. Charles this summer! His favorite soccer memory is Chelsea F.C. winning the UEFA Champions League in 2011.
He has played six straight indoor seasons with Mallard F.C. at Vetta Sports St. Charles. In his spare time Sean writes, spends time with friends, and plays music.
He is inspired by his dad and is passionate about writing, film, soccer, and music.
The craziest thing Sean Dolan has ever done is climbing Sleeping Bear Dunes.
The best meal Sean Dolan has ever had was Ma’s Penne Rustica, and if he could visit anywhere in the world, it would be Ireland.
Sean plays piano and his favorite family tradition is an annual summer vacation with all of his extended family.
His favorite place in the world is Colorado and the best concert he ever attended is Young the Giant (front row!)
Coach Trisha
Coach Trisha has worked for Vetta Sports Manchester since 2018 and was a junior counselor in the past. Trisha started playing soccer when she was 5 at school and her favorite sports memory is playing tennis and soccer in Argentina over spring break! Trisha loves helping others and working hard while still having fun. If Trisha could go anywhere on Earth it would be Paris or Iceland. The best concert she has ever attended is Shawn Mendes.
When asked why she coaches children, Trisha says: “I started working with children because I have always loved being around them and taking care of them.”
Coach Troy (St. Charles)
We are excited to welcome another new counselor to team Vetta –Coach Troy, aka Coach T! His favorite soccer memory is playing in the state championship his senior year, and he has been playing indoor soccer at Vetta since 2013. Coach T enjoys fishing in his spare time, and the best meal he has ever had is his mom’s fried chicken.
His favorite place in the world is Orlando and if he could go anywhere in the world it would be Greece. He is inspired by his parents and is passionate about giving back. His favorite family tradition is Christmas dinner.
Best advice Troy has ever been given – You have two ears and one mouth. Listen twice as much as you speak.
Coach Vivian
Coach Vivian, aka Viv, started attending summer camp when she was just five years old and now she plays in our adult coed leagues! We are thrilled to officially welcome Vivian to our Summer Camp team. Vivian comes from a soccer family and has been playing soccer since she was three years old. Her favorite soccer memories include being involved in state cup finals 4 years in a row. Vivian s favorite part of summer camp is meeting all of the kids!
When asked why she coaches children, Vivan says: “I love kids and soccer.”
